Emergency alerts that repeat until acknowledgedEmergencies
Priority 2 repeats until someone acknowledges it. Send retry (seconds between repeats) and expire (seconds until it gives up) with it. Both are required, because the right interval for a full disk isn't the right one for a payment gateway that stopped answering.
Request body
{ "user": "your-user-key", "title": "api.acme.com is down", "message": "No response for 90 seconds", "priority": 2, "retry": 60, "expire": 1800, "escalation": "production"}retry is at least 30 seconds. expire is at most 3 hours.
Each repeat re-alerts the same notification, so the lock screen shows one entry instead of thirty. Acknowledging on any device stops it on every device and stops the escalation policy too.
POST/v1/messages/{id}/acknowledge
Acknowledge from a script
curl -X POST https://acciti.com/v1/messages/$MESSAGE_ID/acknowledge \ -H "Authorization: Bearer $ACCITI_ACCOUNT_TOKEN"Snooze
A recipient who has seen the alert but can't act yet can snooze it from the notification. That pauses the repeats and the escalation for up to an hour, never pastexpire. Then the alert comes back.
